Art

At Trinity, we believe that art is a powerful tool for self-expression, creativity, and learning; it is also an incredible avenue for worship. Our Biblically integrated curriculum is designed to provide students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade with a comprehensive education in the visual arts.

Throughout the school year, students will have the opportunity to explore a variety of mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and digital art. They will learn about art history, color theory, composition, and the elements of design. They will also develop their technical skills and learn how to use various art tools and materials.

Whether its through watercolor, pottery, or anything in between, we believe that every student has the potential to be an artist, and we are committed to helping them unlock their full potential.

Welcome to Art!

Dear Parents: Hi, I'd like to introduce myself as your children's art teacher and welcome them to art class here. We love to use all media from colored pencils to craypas, to tempera and acrylic paint. We get messy here (we have paint shirts, but maybe save the best clothes for non-art days) We will learn about the elements of art and design, and use lots of materials to make 2-d and 3-D art. Our goal is to have lots of fun while we learn to create and express ourselves with our work while reflecting on the beauty of the world God created for us. All supplies are provided, but we love it when folks save us useful things like toilet paper tubes, We have lots of great projects in store for the year, including studying some famous artists, and some contemporary artists like glass artist Dale Chihuly. I love color, and love to play with clay when I can, and keep busy when not at TCS by watching my 16th-month-old grandson, and playing with my two dogs, Elsie a Skye Terrier, and Mocha a mutt! I also love to garden, but my flowers thrive while my veggies don't! Can't wait to meet your children.
